I was driving from Yorkshire up to the Lake District in Scotland and stopped in Glasgow for a couple days. The people were exceptionally friendly and welcomed me to their country, which I was visiting for the first time. My experience in the UK is that the farther north you go, the more charming the accents become. This goes a long way to offset the corresponding decrease in temperature!
After walking around the city for a while i found myself on this beautiful pedestrian bridge that over looks the M8 motorway. I start to take some pictures and off in the distance I hear a man shout “Get out of my pub!” a thick Scottish accent. It was hilarious and really helped immerse me in the vibe of the city.
